I haven't been out west since the 2015 trip to Alaska and I'd almost forgotten the arrow straight roads that disappear into the horizon as you cruise merrily on, mile after mile looking at all the wide open space. I think they throw in a curve every once in a while just to make sure everyone is paying attention. At at rate I'm in central Texas, and summer has returned (at least for a day or two) with sunshine and 75, which is much more to my liking.
Managed to snap a few pics today, nothing really spectacular, but these will give you an idea of the "wide open spaces" in Texas.
