Prince Edward Island

I've been on PEI for a couple of days now, the weather has been great and yesterday I toured the west end - most of that on coastal roads. I've been surprised by the amount of farming, thought it would be fishing that dominated. Managed two museums, walks on the beach - but it general just enjoying the scenery.

North Cape Lighthouse
Seacow Pond
Malpeque
PEI is Canada's largest producer of potatoes.

Lots of churches on the island, the unusual thing - they are wood structures. Impressive!

This looks like the perfect place to settle. Will keep it in mind...presidential elections not looking good. Love the churches!!! Any sightings of Anne of Green Gables??
Exceptionally beautiful colorful scenery, and admirable effort to keep wooden historic structures in good order. Enjoyed the great photos.
The incredibly "red" soil is interesting. Farming is the biggest industry there followed closely by tourism. We were told that tourism would surpass farming soon. The majority of the tourism is generated by the interest in Anne of Green Gables even though it's fiction! Go figure.

I passed on the "Green Gables" attractions - not my thing, would rather watch the potatoes grow.
Now you've really hurt my feelings!!!
Well, I did see the "Lake of Shinning Waters" (looked like a pond to me) if that counts.
Couldn't agree more.
VERY COLORFUL PICTURES AND HAVE ENJOYED SEEING ALL YOU HAVE POSTED AND SIT IN MY CHAIR. THANK YOU.
