Floating The Colorado

Today we motored 160 miles down the road and arrived in Page, Arizona just in time to jump on a raft for a float down the Colorado River - thru a portion on the Glen Cayon, just below the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. This was a float trip not a whitewater adventure, which meant we had time to look around at the canyon, listen to our guide, and just enjoy the experience.

A small portion of Lake Powell, it's the second-largest artificial lake in the country
Starting point for the float at the base of the 710 foot tall Glen Canyon Dam
Our turnaround point - Horseshoe Bend
We had a short stop to check out these petroglyphs

Great picture of the birdge and dam. I saw that when I was in AZ. Amazing. I have to wonder what is in an artificial Lake. Soda Pop. LOL.
Thanks again for all the great pictures.
LOVE Petroglyphs!!!
