Homer is on most everyone's must visit list when in Alaska, especially if you're a fisherman - it's all about catching Halibut here. If you're not into fishing this small town offers jaw dropping scenery, some very good restaurants, museums, and lots of hiking opportunities.
We had a great guided nature hike in the hills overlooking Homer and then a hands on tour of what lives under the docks in the small boat harbour from the same organization.
The Pratt Museum has a little of everything - a combination art gallery and history museum.
A late afternoon storm (45 mph winds) chased Don and I to the van - but this guy thought conditions were just right!
FYI ,Don made it home safely yesterday, good to see him again. Stay safe
