Miles & Miles

We're back in British Columbia after our nineteen hour stay in Alaska - by next week we should be back in Alaska for our extended tour. Today we wracked up a whopping 259 miles (very unusual for us) as we passed a lot of beautiful scenery, but nothing we needed to stop and explore, and are now in Dease Lake, BC. In the morning we have one of our infamous "side trips" planed - stay tuned.

Yup - another lakeside campsite, we can't help it
Dease Lake

I missed posting this pic from yesterday's trip to the Salmon Glacier.

You spent 19 hours in Alaska. Did you spend the night? I think it is a 3 hrs diffference and it is 9:30pm here and I am surprised to see the post already. Looks like a very comfortable campsite. Also don't see a lot of snow in the background on the other side of the snow..But you were able to get a wifi somewhere. Thanks again, Love the pictures and your comments.

Alaska has its own time zone - so 4 hours from EST. Only thing that will be correct (most of the time) is the post date - I never worry about what the computer thinks the time is.

The campground in Hyder is a sea level = no snow. Glacier road at 4000 feet = snow.
You are amazed how you keep up on all the details..This has been one of the best things I have enjoyed on the internet. Well maybe a really fun joke. LOL
I meant there was no snow on the other side of the LAKE.
