Today we managed 130 miles on a generally westward track and found a nice campground just outside Double Springs, Alabama. Then we went in search of several waterfalls that we'd heard about in the area. We wandered around for most of the afternoon (another 70 miles in the van, and 2 miles on foot) and found several waterfalls and a covered bridge.
Got back to the campsite in time to build a fire and watch the sunset.
