Art in the mountains

Just down the road from the campground is the little North Carolina town of Burnsville and this weekend it was the home for the 58th edition of the Mount Mitchell Craft Fair. I spent the weekend walking around looking and sitting in the park listening to music.

We used to stay in Burnsville when we took Amanda to Ann Close Springs summer horse camp. It's a charming little town.

Hi Barbara - long time. I hadn't been in Burnsville in probably 20 years, back in our white water rafting days. Still nice!

Your tubbing pictures reminded me that because of my knee surgery I never got to go tubing this summer.
One of my favorite t-shirts is "I tubed the Hootch". We didn't make it to River House in Grassy Creek, NC to fly fish either. I'm hoping for a healthier summer next year!
